Offering a runway show, vendor fair featuring clothes and accessories from emerging and established regional brands; and panel discussion on fashion and politics, this event highlights the craft and couture of some of the Bay Area’s most dynamic independent designers. It also offers a glimpse inside and a living exhibit based on the upcoming book The Bay Area Guide to Independent Fashion by Letitia Ntofon. In Living Fashion

The Bay Area Guide To Independent Fashion Festival is probably the first-ever event of its kind in the Bay Area. Based on the book of the same name, the festival is a living exhibit---since many of the panelists, exhibitors, and vendors are featured in the forthcoming publication by Black Dot Cafe Press.

The Bay Area Guide To Independent Fashion and festival's purpose is to generate financial and network support for fashion artisans, to encourage social entrepreneurship, and promote awareness of regional brands to the greater public. On October 11th be sure to visit Booth #7 to get your questions answered about the project. Be sure to ask how to join the mailing list so you can be in tune of updates and to find out when the book can be ordered hot off the press!
